  9. BTEP Summer Showcase

    June 28, 2019, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Biltmore Studio Theater

This year’s Showcase will consist of three short plays, a drama, a comedy, and a murder mystery. And it will all be under the direction of a single-and talented director-Brian Trippel. In ‘Cheating Death’, a group of inmates at a psych ward are waiting for their group session to begin when Death shows up to claim one of them. But he’s got the wrong person and the group tries their best to keep him from knowing who the right person is. In ‘Don’t Cry For Me Pasadena’, a bored housewife tells people her husband, Jesus, is dead in order to get attention. Hilarity ensues when the husband comes home while the cub reporter at the local paper is interviewing her for the obituary. ‘Deadline Dilemma’ has an interesting twist on the usual murder ploy as three different suspects all insist that they are the killers. The question is how to figure out which one is telling the truth.
