Free Spring 2019 Programs and Events

We invite you and your family to take part in these wonderful community events that are taking place in your local community parks and facilities. Most of the events are free or low cost to enjoy.

Parks and Trails: Canton has 10 public parks and over 15 miles of trails that are free and open to the public daily 6 am-10 pm.

Canton Farmers Market: An open air Market featuring a variety of Michigan grown and produced food, as well as hand crafted artisan items. Each weekly Market will also include Kid's Produce Club, weekly kids activities, Cooking at the Market, Live entertainment, Ask a Gardner, and much more! Bridge Cards, Double Up Food Bucks, and Senior Project FRESH & WIC Project FRESH Coupons accepted.

National Trails Day: Take a walk along Canton's Lower Rouge Trail and enjoy a variety of activities including: educational displays and presentation, 'Leave No Trace' principles stations, recycling information, and trail biking and hiking information. National Trails Day Video

Scholarship Information

Canton Leisure Services wants to ensure that all Canton residents have the opportunity to participate in its' classes, programs, facilities or events. If you are interested in taking part in an offering that requires fees or charges and you need financial assistance, scholarships are available. If you see a program in the current Discover Brochure that you'd like to attend, but is financially out of your reach, please contact Recreation Supervisor, Jennifer Provenzano at Jennifer Provenzano email or 734/394-5360 to learn more about potential scholarship and outreach opportunities. 

Did You Know?

Did you know that kids can register for the summer Canton Activity Crew (C.A.C.) program and take part in a supervised playground program for 5 fun-filled days a week for only $0.87 a day! Learn more at Summer Camps.
